If you’re not happy with the outcome of a candidate’s results, centres may submit an enquiry about results.

An access to scripts request should not be confused with the provision of a copy of a reviewed script. You can request a copy of a reviewed script when you submit a service 1, service 2 or priority service 2 enquiry about results request. (See our how to submit an enquiry about results page.)
Before submitting an enquiry, centres must obtain the written consent of candidates for Service 1 clerical checks and Service 2 post-results reviews of marking since, with these services, candidates’ marks and subject grades may be lowered.
Written candidate consent is not required for a Service 3 review of moderation as candidates’ marks may be lowered but their published subject grades will not be lowered in the series concerned. However, centres should be aware that a lowered mark may be carried forward to future certification.
By submitting your online application, you are confirming candidate consent has already been obtained. Copies of candidate consent forms do not need to be sent to OCR, but should be retained at your centre for at least six months following the outcome of the enquiry about results or any subsequent appeal.
A sample candidate consent form is provided below:
For Service 1 and Service 2, you will not be charged for your enquiry if the certification grade changes or, for unitised qualifications, if the unit grade changes. For Service 3, you will not be charged if your centre marks are reinstated.
We’ll send an invoice when the review is complete. Invoices will usually be sent in the following months:

All enquiries about results must be submitted immediately after the relevant results issue date and by the appropriate deadline (see key dates). Enquiries will not be accepted after these deadlines.
Enquiries are submitted at unit level for unitised qualifications or component level for linear qualifications, where applicable.

There is no charge for a clerical re-check. For a full list of charges, see our fees list. Where the subject grade changes as a consequence of the enquiry, no fee will be charged.
Centres can either request to be invoiced following the outcome of the enquiry or send a cheque with the application form. If the enquiry is successful, the centre will not be invoiced for the fee. If a cheque was sent with the enquiry, this will be returned if the enquiry is successful.
Enquiries about results must be submitted within three months of the receipt of results or, in the case of Cambridge Technicals tested units, by the deadline above.

For Certificates of Professional Competence (CPC) case study units (05689 and 05678), Level 4 Certificate in Management Consulting and Cambridge Technicals tested units, if you would like a copy of the reviewed script, please request this at the same time as you submit your enquiry.
The outcome of each enquiry will be confirmed by email. You should expect to receive an outcome as follows:
Where a grade changes and a certificate has already been issued, a replacement will be issued showing the revised grade once the centre returns the original to OCR.
