OCR is currently reforming its GCSEs, AS and A Level in line with the government programme of general qualification reform. However, on 10 September 2015 the DfE announced that development of reformed AS and A Level Health and Social Care qualifications would cease.

Provides a more vocational perspective and offers students the chance to obtain a qualification that meets both their individual aptitudes and interests. Prior study at GCSE in Health and Social Care will be useful to students but not essential. This course prepares students to enter a variety of courses in Health and Social Care and related subjects. It also provides a progression route for further training whilst in employment.
