Following a review of our qualifications, and in light of changes in funding arrangements and Apprenticeship reforms, we have decided to withdraw the Procom qualifications from 31 December 2017.
The Procom suite has a number of qualifications (with common units) with a number of learning purposes. Some of these qualifications make up the apprenticeships at level 2 and 3 for the IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals SASE framework and will be replaced by new apprenticeship standards; the withdrawal is being announced now so that we can give sufficient notice to prepare centres to move over from the SASE frameworks to the new apprenticeship standards.
This qualification is suitable for those working in the IT and Telecoms sector. It offers a wide range of units that can be selected by employers, apprentices and training providers to match any of the job roles in the required sector. It can be taken in conjunction with the OCR Level 4 Cambridge Technical Diploma in IT by those working towards the higher apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals.
We’ve put together this guide to give additional guidance on how internal standardisation may be approached. These guidelines must be used in conjunction with the centre handbook and admin guide relevant to the qualification you are delivering.
