Teachers and other support staff can be given access to Interchange by their centre administrator in order to submit the marks/endorsement grades: the ‘Add coursework marks’ role allows you to enter marks/grades and the ‘Submit coursework marks’ role allows you to check marks/grades and submit them to OCR.

Entering marks and endorsement grades

To enter marks/grades, log in to Interchange and carry out the following steps:

  1. Hover over ‘Coursework and tests’ in the left-hand menu and click on ‘Enter coursework marks’.
  2. Select the relevant series and enter the assessment code you wish to submit marks/grades for and click ‘Search’. You will see the list of candidates entered for this assessment.
  3. Enter the marks or click the absent box for each candidate and click ‘Save’ in the bottom right of the screen. For endorsement grades, instead of entering a mark, you select the grade – either P or NC (Pass or Not Classified) for the Sciences or P, M, D or NC (Pass, Merit, Distinction or Not Classified) for English. The absent box will be greyed out.
  4. Once you are happy the data is accurate, tick the ‘Checked’ box for each candidate and click ‘Save’ in the bottom right of the screen.

Submitting marks and endorsement grades

You have not yet submitted your marks/grades.To submit your marks/grades:

  1. Hover over ‘Coursework and tests’ in the left-hand menu and click on ‘Enter and submit coursework marks’.
  2. Select the relevant series and qualification by using the drop down menus.
  3. If ‘Review Incomplete’ is displayed for your chosen assessment, press the button to view the assessment for which data is incomplete and enter as appropriate.
  4. Click ‘Submit’ for the relevant assessment. The marks will now be submitted.

Printing and sending a copy to the moderator

Now print a copy of the marks/grades. You can do this in two ways:

  1. By clicking on the ‘Print’ button which appears in the top right-hand corner when you submit your marks/grades.
  2. Hover over ‘Coursework and tests’ and click on ‘View submitted coursework marks’ in the left-hand menu. Select the correct series and qualification, which will present a list of assessments and then click on the iMS1 button and print the form.

Keep a copy of the marks/grades for your centre and post a copy to the moderator or upload them to the Repository by the relevant deadline. NB you do not need to send a copy of the science endorsement grades to an OCR moderator.
