OCR Instructions for Conducting Examinations (OCR ICE) 2018/19
05 September 2018
OCR Instructions for Conducting Examinations (OCR ICE) 2018/19 now available
The OCR instructions for conducting examinations (OCR ICE) has been updated and the 2018/19 version is now available on the OCR website. These regulations are applicable to the externally assessed components of Functional Skills and Digital Employability qualifications. A list, including the code and title, of these qualifications is provided at Appendix 12 of the document.
Any centre delivering these qualifications must ensure they have a copy of this new version available in their centre and exam venue(s), and that all staff involved in the delivery of the qualifications are aware of and adhere to these regulations.
A summary of differences between this version and last year's version is provided at the start of the current OCR ICE and changes are highlighted throughout in yellow.
One area of particular note is that access arrangements for Functional Skills qualifications are no longer covered by the JCQ publication Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments, although the document is still relevant for other vocational qualifications. Information about access arrangements specific to Functional Skills qualifications will be added to the OCR website soon.
The OCR ICE is valid up to and including 31 August 2019. If regulatory changes are made before 31 August 2019, centres will be informed.
