You can enter centre assessment grades and rank orders directly into the system.
For each candidate, click on the centre assessment grade to be assigned. As you give grades to candidates, the record at the top of the page updates to show the number of each grade you have assigned.
If you do not have enough evidence to provide a centre assessment grade for a candidate, put an ‘X’ in the grade column. They will not be issued with a calculated result.
The progress counter at the top left shows the number of candidates who have been given a centre assessment grade, and the total number of candidates for that qualification.
To see all the candidates who have been given a certain grade, click on the grade at the top of the page. You can then enter a rank order. For each candidate, enter the rank order in the box on the right. Make sure you click outside the last rank order box you complete for each grade so that all of your rank orders are saved.
When you have entered all the centre assessment grades and rank orders for a qualification or unit, click the ‘Check for errors’ button. The system will highlight any errors such as missing grades or two candidates sharing a rank order.
If this happens, you must correct the errors before you can send the qualification for approval.
If you need to change a centre assessment grade before you send it for approval, click on the new grade. The old grade will be removed, and the new grade will be added. If you do this after rank orders have been assigned, the change in grade will affect the other candidates in that rank order. A pop up will appear to remind you to edit the rank order.
You can now send this qualification to your Head of centre for approval.
