New proposals for reviews of marking, moderation and appeals rules

Ofqual is consulting on changes to its rules for GCSE, GCE and Project Qualifications around how exam boards must conduct:

• Reviews of marking
• Reviews of moderation 
• Appeals.

The proposed changes respond to issues which have arisen during the first two years of operation of the rules, aim to make the rules easier to follow and bring them in line with a version of the rules which has been introduced for Technical Qualifications.

The deadline for consultation responses is 25 January 2019.
