This section refers to general qualifications only.
This is where a candidate completed an AS Level with another awarding body, but wants to transfer their credit to OCR so it will count towards an A Level in the same subject.
Transfer of credit is only possible between specifications that have been written to the same criteria, as specified by the regulator.
It is not possible to transfer credit from legacy specifications to new specifications. Therefore, it is not possible for candidates to combine legacy and new units to make up a whole qualification.
Transfer of credit does not apply to those who have already claimed a GCE A Level award. The only exception is where a candidate has already claimed an A Level Mathematics award and wishes to seek an A Level Further Mathematics award (see below).
To take OCR’s current GCE AS or A Level Further Mathematics, candidates must previously have taken GCE AS or A Level Mathematics.
However, candidates who completed AS or A Level Mathematics using a different specification (e.g. from a different awarding body) may take AS or A Level Further Mathematics with OCR.
