Interchange

What is OCR Interchange?

OCR Interchange is a free, secure website which offers a variety of services for exams officers and teachers.

Interchange supports every stage of the teaching and exams cycle, allowing you to complete day-to-day administrative functions, e.g. make entries and claims, submit internal assessment marks, view results and assessor reports, and submit post-results service requests.

It also provides access to Active Results, our free results analysis service, the OCR Repository, a secure portal where candidate work can be uploaded and submitted, and much more.

Getting started: new users

If you’re a new user at a registered centre contact your centre administrator (usually the exams officer) to request a login with the appropriate access.

If you’re unsure whether your centre is registered to use Interchange or you cannot locate your administrator, please email our Customer Support Team: support@ocr.org.uk.

Getting started: centres new to Interchange

If your centre is new to Interchange and does not currently have an Interchange account:

  1. Nominate a centre administrator – The centre administrator controls Interchange access within a centre (this role will often be carried out by the exams officer).
  2. Complete and return the OCR Interchange Agreement to the Customer Support Team at support@ocr.org.uk. Note: This must be printed, signed by your Head of Centre and scanned.
  3. We will verify your details and then issue you with:
  • Login ID
  • Username
  • Password – You can change your password to something easy to remember at any time after logging in by hovering over ‘Admin’ from the main menu and clicking on ‘Change your password’.

You can now set up and manage additional users within your centre. A full list of user roles and permissions can be found on the following page:

  • Managing user accounts

If your centre administrator leaves

If your centre administrator leaves, please complete and send us a new Interchange Agreement, informing us the previous administrator has left.

Forgot your password?

Please keep your password in a secure place. If you forget your password, you can reset it. Click on the ‘Forgotten your password?’ link on the Interchange login page and follow the instructions.

Don't get locked out: If you enter your password incorrectly three times, you will be locked out and will not be able to use the 'Forgotten your password?' link. You will then need to contact us (if you are a centre administrator) or your centre administrator (if you are a standard user). Instead, we recommend clicking on the 'Forgotten your password?' link after two attempts.

Password expiry and extension

Interchange passwords expire every six months. Centre administrators can view and extend expired passwords:

  1. Log in and hover over ‘Admin’, then click ‘Manage centre users’ in the left-hand menu.
  2. Check the ‘Extend Password’ box and press ‘Update’.

This will extend the user’s password by another six months.
