Reminder: Additional diverse text options for September 2022

In September 2021, we announced improvements to the diversity of texts for our A Level English Literature specification, for first teach September 2022, with first assessment in June 2024.
We want to remind you we've added five additional diverse texts to the suggested texts lists in Comparative and contextual study (component 02), one new text to each of the five thematic topics.
We've listed the new texts below:
- American Literature 1880–1940: Passing by Nella Larsen (1929)
- The Gothic: Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier (1938)
- Dystopia: Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler (1993)
- Women in Literature: Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo (2019)
- The Immigrant Experience: The Lonely Londoners by Sam Selvon (1956)
The core set texts for each topic area will remain the same.
