In November, we informed you of our 2020/21 arrangements for our Cambridge Nationals qualifications.
Following some early teacher feedback, we can now provide further clarification and new adaptations to the following units:
- R019: Understand the equipment and nutritional needs of children from birth to five years unit
- R020: Understand the development of a child from birth to five years unit
Summary of changes
R019: Understand the equipment and nutritional needs of children from birth to five years unit
- For Task 1, we have reduced the types of equipment that candidates need to investigate to two.
- For Task 3, we have changed the wording from ‘professional discussion’ to ‘Q&A session’.
R020: Understand the development of a child from birth to five years unit
- For Task 3, we have clarified the options for the initial observation visit where candidates do not have access to a child.
- For Task 3, we have reduced the number of activities that candidates need to plan from two to one.
- For Task 4, we have clarified the options where candidates do not have access to a child when carrying out their planned activity and subsequent evaluation.
