Functional Skills ICT update

We can confirm that our review date for the qualifications, shown in the table below, has been extended to 31 July 2023. This is to ensure that the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) considers the funding for these qualifications in the next academic year (2022/23). We will keep you informed of any policy announcements to give you clarity about the funding of these qualifications.

Removal of funding for ICT qualifications confirmed in March 2022
On 2 March 2022, the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) published a list of Level 2 ICT and digital qualifications where funding approval is being removed.
As part of this, from 1 August 2022, funding will be removed from OCR Functional Skills qualification in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at Level 2 and OCR IT User Skills (ITQ) qualifications at Level 2.
