Amendments to specification for GCSE (9-1) Mathematics – J560
03 August 2021
We have made some small amendments to our specification for GCSE (9-1) Mathematics (J560). We’ve made the following changes:
- Page ii – An updated link to our maths qualification page.
- Page iv – An updated link to our maths CPD page and new information about our regular ‘Introducing GCSE (9-1) Mathematics’ sessions.
- Page 3 – A link added for centres new to OCR along with a link to the OCR Maths Twitter page.
- Page 23 – In the second row, we’ve clarified the type of simultaneous equations higher tier students are expected to solve.
- Page 26 – In the seventh row, we’ve changed the subject content from ‘exponential’ to ‘reciprocal’ to better reflect the expressions given – there are no changes to the content itself.
- Page 42 – Added ‘Knowledge of intersection (∩), union (∪) and complement (') notation will not be required’ for clarification.
- Page 53 – A new link added for private candidate entries.
You can view these changes in our updated GCSE Mathematics specification, which you can also download from our GCSE Mathematics qualification page.
