We are in the process of adding the total qualification time (TQT) and guided learning hours (GLH) to our GCSE, AS and A Level specifications.

The TQT is the total amount of time, in hours, expected to be spent by a learner to achieve a qualification. It includes both GLH and hours spent in preparation, study, and assessment. For example, the total qualification time for A Level History A is 360 hours.

We will be adding the TQT to the Assessment section (section 3) of each specification.

There is no change to the TQT assigned and this update does not affect any other aspect of our general qualifications.
