OCR Instructions for Conducting Examinations (OCR ICE) for 2021/22
31 August 2021
We have updated the OCR Instructions for Conducting Examinations (OCR ICE) document for 2021/22. The revised regulations apply to the following qualifications:
If you deliver any of these OCR qualifications, you must have a copy of this new version available in your centre and exam venue(s), and all staff involved in the delivery of the qualifications must be aware of and adhere to these regulations.
What's changed?
- We have withdrawn the OCR Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English; therefore we have removed references to these qualifications from the document.
- We have also removed the ‘Calculators’ and ‘Additional instructions for conducting on-screen tests’ sections. Calculators are not required by candidates to complete the exams and all additional regulations for on-screen tests are included in the appropriate sections of the document.
- Watches are now included in the items students must not have access to during their exams. This regulation change is also included in the JCQ Instructions for Conducting Examinations (JCQ ICE) booklet for 2021/22.
- These changes mean that section and page numbers will be different to the previous version of the OCR ICE document.
Changes made since the 2020/21 version are highlighted in yellow throughout the 2021/22 version.
The updated OCR ICE document is valid up to and including 31 August 2022. If regulatory changes are made before 31 August 2022, we will let centres know.
The OCR ICE for 2021/22 is also available to download from the Functional Skills and Digital Employability qualification pages, as well as the administration section of the website.
