For details on how to submit the PE activity marks submission forms and a reminder of the centre assessment arrangements, please see below.
Completing the PE activity marks submission form
Use a desktop or laptop device. Do not use a tablet.
Use Microsoft Excel 2020 or later and enable macros when the file opens and prompts you to do so. The prompt may appear as a yellow bar across the top of the screen. If you do not enable macros, you will not be able to enter candidate data.
Do not use ‘Cut and Paste’ or ‘Copy and Paste’ functions within the form.
Complete the details for:
- Centre number
- Centre name
- Name of PE centre contact
For each candidate:
- Enter the candidate number
- Enter the candidate name
- Select the sex assigned at birth
Once the candidate details are complete you will be able to enter the activity details:
- AS and A Level – Select ‘Performer’ or ‘Coach’, select the activity and complete all the cells which are coloured pink. Where relevant, choose ‘Yes’ in the final column to indicate if on-site filmed evidence is available.
- GCSE – Select the activity type and activity and complete all the cells which are coloured pink. Where relevant, choose ‘Yes’ in the final column to indicate if off-site filmed evidence is available.
- Entry Level – Select the activity type, activity, and ‘Leader’ or ‘Performer’. Then complete all the cells which are coloured pink, including the analysing performance total mark. Where relevant, choose ‘Yes’ in the final column to indicate if filmed evidence is available.
If all cells coloured pink are not completed, you will not be able to submit the form.
If you need to save the document to allow you to return to it, use the standard Microsoft 'save as' functionality.
When you are ready to send the form to us, click 'Send to OCR'. This will automatically name the file and allow you to save the final version for your records.
It will also open an email to moderation@ocr.org.uk with the file automatically attached. Please send this to OCR.
Do not send a hard copy of this form to your moderator.
After you have sent the form, if you need to make any changes, do not send the form again – please email us at support@ocr.org.uk.

GCSE, AS and A Level only: Sending filmed evidence to OCR
New for this year, we are asking you to send a copy of the following to OCR rather than your moderator:
- GCSE, AS and A Level off-site filmed evidence and associated logbooks – every candidate (if you cannot film your candidates you may not enter them for that sport)
- AS and A Level sample of on-site filmed evidence – at least eight candidate performances, across at least three activities, encompassing a range of marks – ideally top, middle and lowest mark in each of the three activities.
Please send these by 15 March to OCR PE Filmed Evidence, Post Assessment Services, DC10, Hill Farm Road, Whittlesford, Cambridge CB22 4FZ – you’ll receive address labels for this at the start of March.
For full details of this and other filming requirements, please see the OCR website.
