Results slips

We produce results slips like the examples shown below. Your school or college may generate a combined results slip with the results of all the different awarding bodies. On this page, we describe some of the things to look out for.

  • Your A Level results explained PDF, 264KB
  • Your Cambridge Nationals results explained PDF, 424KB
  • Your GCSE results explained PDF, 263KB
  • Your Cambridge Technicals results explained PDF, 306KB

Personal details

Your school or college details will show at the top together with your personal details. Please check your name and date of birth are correct and report any errors to your exams officer. If you don't correct any errors at this stage, there'll be a charge to replace your certificate.

Grades and marks

Overall results will be shown first with unit results underneath them:

  • For linear qualifications, such as GCSEs and A Levels, the statement shows your overall qualification grades and marks plus the raw and 'weighted' marks for each paper.
  • For unitised qualifications such as Cambridge Nationals, your overall qualification and unit uniform marks will be shown in the 'mark' column.

Find out more about how we calculate your grade.

Results indicators

If your results slip contains one of the following results indicators in the grade column, please speak to your exams officer:

  • No Result: You were absent from all elements of the assessment or had an invalid combination of units.
  • Partial Absence (#): You have submitted work for some, but not all, of the subject’s components. In all cases, we should have provided your school or college with an explanation for this status.
  • Pending (Q): Your result will follow shortly. In all cases, we should have provided your school or college with an explanation for this status.
