Thinking of teaching this qualification?

  • Withdrawal and replacement of qualification

Following a review of our qualifications we are withdrawing our existing Career Guidance qualifications (04512/10215) and replacing them with our updated Career Guidance qualifications (04663/04664), for first teaching in September 2021.

Therefore, the last entry date of OCR Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development (10215) and Level 4 Diploma in Career Information and Advice (04512) has been extended until 31 March 2022 and the final certification date will be 31 December 2024.

  • Adapted assessment (2021/22)

During 2021/22 adaptations to assessments were available to support candidates and assessors while public health restrictions were in place. As those restrictions are no longer in place, those adaptations are no longer necessary. In 2022/23 (and beyond) evidence produced for assessments must be in line with the requirements and guidance set out in the centre handbook and units.

This qualification is for those working in the career development sector. The qualification will provide accredited professional development opportunities and encourage progression in the sector.

Benefits

  • Learners will have the opportunity for both full qualification and unit certification.
  • All units have been assigned a level and a credit value.
  • NVQ model for centre approval, candidate registration and assessment.
  • The qualification is accredited onto the Qualifications and Credit Framework.
